ORFG Welcomes Dana Foundation as Newest Member
The Open Research Funders Group (ORFG) is pleased to welcome its newest member, the Dana Foundation. The Dana Foundation is a private philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing neuroscience within society by supporting cross-disciplinary intersections such as neuroscience and ethics, law, policy, humanities, and arts. Much of the Foundation’s support is in the form of grants with an emphasis on neuroscience within society, funding interdisciplinary training, research, and public engagement in that area.
“The Dana Foundation is pleased to be joining ORFG,” said Dr. Khara Ramos, Vice President of Neuroscience within Society. “The goal of open science is highly relevant to the Dana Foundation as we work to strengthen neuroscience’s positive role in the world through interdisciplinary collaboration and public engagement with emerging neuroscience. Our goals require building trust between different research disciplines, professional communities, and public audiences – all of which requires a scientific research ecosystem that is transparent, inclusive, and trustworthy.”
